Brighten my day
I have nothing but praise for this team of carers, they are always cheerful to us all, they take their time to speak with me, and brighten my day and are friendly. My husband who is their client thinks they are “all great” when he is able, will enjoy a laugh and a joke with them especially when they sing to him! I am grateful that I can ask them to collect prescriptions for us, and can phone them if I have a problem. We are very lucky to have found such caring people.

Patience, good humour and skills

A big thank you
I was very lucky to be introduced to Sandra whom my husband met while I was in hospital. She made a great impression to give me hope for my future. From not being able to do anything to how I am today, I am very grateful to all my carers and with the physio who have helped me to achieve my goal to walk again. All I can say is a big thank you. The carers take time
I am very happy to be with One Day At A Time because where I was and where I am now is a big change in my life. The agency I had before was not very caring and always rushed me, never had time to talk to me - but with One Day At A Time it’s totally different. The carers take time to give me personal care and chat with me - and make me feel proud to be with them. I am very happy with the care I am receiving.

Friendly and approachable
We do not oversee our resident’s personal care as it would not be appropriate. Interactions with One Day At A Time staff are very positive. Staff are very professional and happy to challenge advice given by other professionals if deemed that a client would be at risk. We are kept up to date on a ‘need to know’ basis. Staff team are very friendly and approachable, and understand how to deal with a very complex client that can exhibit challenging behaviour.
